PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gelling agent capable of easily gelling a silicone oil, an organic compound having low polarity and a nonpolar organic compound, especially an organic oil having high alkyl group content, and provide a gelatinous composition and cosmetics. SOLUTION: The gelling agent is composed of an organopolysiloxane having an organic group (-Y) bonded to a silicon atom and expressed by general formula (1) and a≥9C substituted or unsubstituted univalent hydrocarbon group (-Z) bonded to a silicon atom.
