PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily input data for an authentication for releasing a limit without changing a current style in a portable terminal device capable of changing a device body into a plurality of the styles, by altering the state of the arrangement of a display-section box body and an operating-section box body. SOLUTION: A CPU 1 selects an authentication means made to correspond to the current style in three kinds of the authentication means (a password authentication means, a fingerprint authentication means and a face authentication means), by referring to an every style terminal lock-releasing table 22 and an every style functional limit-releasing table 23 on the basis of the current style detected by a style detecting sensor 18, under the state in which correspondences with the styles and the authentication means are stored and controlled in the every style terminal lock-releasing table 22 and the every style functional limit-releasing table 23. The CPU 1 releases the setting of a terminal lock and releases the limit of the use of a selected function when a normal user is authenticated by the authentication means.
