PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a switch improved in arc extinguishing performance by increasing a rotation drive force in an arc extinguishing gas by locating a permanent magnet near the arc running over an arc contact and strengthening a radial magnetic field crossing the running arc. SOLUTION: An arc contact 5 which does not contact a movable contact 3 and bend is arranged near arc 6 which is generated between a fixed contact 2 and the movable contact 3 at the time of open circuit, and the arc 6 generated is transferred here. A first permanent magnet 7 is arranged at the tip part of the arc contact 5 so that the arc 6 may rotation drive over the arc contact 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
