PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for controlling programmable devices which can effectively control circuit configurations for programmable devices. SOLUTION: An FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) control apparatus 20 has a configuration controller 22, a circuit selection part 24, a first input IF 26 which inputs configuration information on an FPGA 16 from a CPU 12, and a second input IF 28 which inputs output from the FPGA 16. The circuit selection part 24 selects a circuit from a plurality of pieces of FPGA circuit information stored in a memory 14 based on at least the configuration information inputted through the first input IF 26. The configuration controller 22 reads circuit information data stored in the memory 14 based on the circuit information selected by the circuit selection part 24, and configures the circuit information for the FPGA 16.
