PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in handleability, cost, and reliability in operation of a control sensor and an electronic counter when output signals from the control sensor such as a proximity sensor are counted as input pulse trains. SOLUTION: The proximity sensor B is incorporated in a counter panel of an electronic counter A. An output circuit of the proximity sensor (control sensor) B and an input circuit of the electronic counter A are not installed in the counter panel. A main circuit 8 (an oscillating circuit 10 and an oscillating state detection circuit 12) of the proximity sensor B is directly connected to the main circuit (count circuit 14) of the electronic counter A.
