PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch device used in a stand for loading a heavy object such as an optical apparatus capable of achieving quick motion by separating a clutch not needing excess operation, and preventing rotation in the unexpected direction caused by the operation of a separating member. SOLUTION: A long hole 34c is formed at a second clutch plate 34, a pin 33d of a first clutch plate 33 is freely fitted therein to transmit a driving force, and the head 34d1 of a screw 34d of the second clutch plate 34 can be fitted to a hole 33e of the first clutch plate 33 when the pin 33d is located at one end of a long hole 34c. Accordingly, the head 34d1 of the screw 34d is fitted to the hole 33e when a gear 32 is rotated in the expected R1 direction, and thus the first clutch plate 33 is displaced in the second clutch plate 34 direction and separated from the gear 32, and when the direction is opposite to R1, the head 34d1 is brought into contact with an end face 33c, and the first clutch plate 33 cannot be separated from the gear 32.
