PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out a game with more fun in a game machine which conducts lottery based on a game while causing changes in the probability of winning the lottery. SOLUTION: The game machine is provided with a lottery ball entry slot 520 which is provided in the playing area to let game balls enter it. A lottery means 900 which conducts the lottery responding to the entry of the game balls into lottery ball entry slot 520, a special state generation means 920 which generates a special state enabling the acquisition of more game balls than those in the normal state for players with winning earned when the result of the lottery by the lottery means 900 proves to be winning, a lottery probability state alteration means 910 which shifts the game to a high probability state with a higher probability of winning when the prescribed requirement for the promotion is established while shifting the state of a lottery conducted by the lottery means 900 to a low probability state with a lower probability of winning when the prescribed requirement for demotion is established and a specified performance means 970 which carries out a specific performance at a higher rate under the high probability state than that under the low probability state.
