PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair tonic giving stable hair-growing effect and surely growing black hair. SOLUTION: Extracts of parsley, Houttuynia cordata, ginger, persimmon leaf and aloe are used as the active component of the hair tonic. The hair tonic is produced by extracting dried parsley, Houttuynia cordata, ginger and persimmon leaf or its crushed material with hot water, separately extracting dried aloe or its crushed material with warm water and then with water-ethanol at normal temperature, and producing the hair tonic from these extracts.
