<p>A thin film transistor array substrate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to electrically connect a drain electrode of a thin film transistor with a pixel electrode by forming first and second protrusions on a metal pattern. Gate lines(102) and data lines(104) are intersected each other on a substrate to define a pixel region, with a gate insulating layer(144) being interposed between the lines. A thin film transistor(106) is formed on an intersecting region of the gate line and the data line. The thin film transistor and the data lines are protected by a protective layer(150). A pixel electrode(118) is formed on the pixel region, and is electrically connected to the thin film transistor via a conductive coupling portion. The conductive coupling portion has a metal pattern(152) positioned on the substrate, a first protrusion(153) extending from the metal pattern, and a second protrusion(154) extending from the metal pattern.</p> |
