<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlight for a vehicle suited for achievement of motor-way light distribution and wet light distribution. <P>SOLUTION: The headlight for the vehicle 1 is provided with a light source bulb 30 irradiating light, a base member 50 fixing the light source bulb 30, a reflector 40 reflecting light irradiated from the light source bulb 30, a projection lens 10 projecting the light reflected at the reflector 40 forward along a light axis Ax, and a shade 22 shielding a part of the light headed from the reflector 40 toward the projection lens.
