PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct curl of an arbitrary sheet of paper regardless of the thickness or stiffness of the sheet without damaging the sheet when transferring the sheet.

SOLUTION: Transfer rollers 201 are placed in transfer paths S, S' for transferring the sheets of paper and transfers the sheets upstream of the transfer paths with contacting the sheet. The contact parts 203, 204 can be freely deformed in the direction to release a push force applied from the sheet when transferring the sheet.
