PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recording device improved in convenience in dubbing processing and to provide an information display method. SOLUTION: The video recording device determines existence of an non-trusted data which is not allowed to be dubbed into a 2nd medium with data protected by an AACS (Advanced Access Content System) from a 1st medium with data protected by a system except the AACS, and displays attribute information (for example, non-trusted icon) showing that it is not allowed to dub the data into the 2nd medium when the non-trusted data is present.
