PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact lighting system excellent in operationality. SOLUTION: The lighting system comprises a first lighting equipment 20a to optimumly run when a first lighting beam having a first NA is supplied, a second lighting equipment 20b to optimumly run when a second lighting beam having a second NA higher than the first NA is provided, a determination part 33 to determine which of the first and second lighting equipments 20a, 20b is connected to a light source equipment 36, and a switch part 49 to switch the lighting beam provided with the lighting equipment from the light source equipment 36 to the first lighting beam when the first lighting equipment 20a is connected to the light source equipment 36 or to the second lighting beam when the second lighting equipment 20b is connected to the light source equipment 36 from the determination by the determination part 33, which is mounted on the light source equipment 36.
