FIELD: metallurgy; ferrous. ^ SUBSTANCE: said utility invention relates to the ferrous metallurgy, in particular, to preliminary preparation of stock. Chips in the form of waste after machining of cast iron alloy castings and workpieces are crushed and subjected to chemical analysis. The qualitative and quantitative compositions of ferroalloys required for melting a certain cast iron grade are determined. Crushed ferroalloys and binder are added, with water added up to 10 % relative to the mixture weight. After mixing, compacts are formed at pressing or vibration equipment, with subsequent drying at a temperature of no less than 0C. The fluxed cast iron compact contains, % weight: cast iron chips 75-88, ferroalloys 1-15, binder 11-25. As binder, the compact contains cement, and/or aluminous cement, and/or high-alumina cement. The chip particle size is 0.5-2 mm, the ferroalloy particle size is 0.5-2 mm. The invention allows to form cast iron alloy chips of the same size, with high mechanical strength and decreased total loss, with a given chemical composition required for melting a certain grade of cast iron, allows to save flux and fuel. ^ EFFECT: allows to form cast iron alloy chips of same size, with enhanced properties, saving consumable materials. ^ 9 cl, 3 ex |
