<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new optical switching unit in which the anomaly phenomenon based on a diffraction grating and the wavelength of light is used on principle. <P>SOLUTION: The optical switching unit has: a resonance filter FA which performs a resonance reflection of incident light having a specific wavelengthλA by allowing the resonance between a fine ruggedness periodic structure and the incident light; and an incident angle variation means which varies the relative incident angle of the incident light having the specific wavelength onto the resonance filter, wherein the reflection state and the transmission state of the incident light are switched by varying the resonance wavelength of the resonance filter FA with respect to the specific wavelengthλA by relatively varying the incident angle with the incident angle variation means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
