<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of easily registering a character string to be annotation-displayed. <P>SOLUTION: In the annotation display of displaying an already registered character string called by a key operation or an inputted character string on a monitor, the registered character string is stored and the input character strings are successively stored. The number of times of repetitive input of each input character string is counted, and the input character string whose number of times of the repetitive input is equal to or more than a threshold is stored as the registered character string. Also, the input character strings are successively stored and the respective stored input character strings are displayed on the monitor at a prescribed timing.
