PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity sales data processor which can easily and certainly check poor reading, such as double reading. SOLUTION: A POS terminal 100 which reads to process a bar-code 102a of a commodity 102 comprises; a camera 501 which is equipped with a CCD area sensor and picks up an area including a reading area of the bar-code and outputs image information; a commodity code recognition device 502 which extracts the information code symbol from the image information, acquires and outputs position information of the information code symbol in the imaging area, and extracts and outputs the commodity code from the information code symbol of the image information; a bar-code position information postscript device 504 which combines the position information to the image information and outputs it as a synthetic image; and an image storing device 505 which stores combined image information and position information as the image information with position information.
