PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a data management device for easily accessing a desired measurement data file. SOLUTION: The data management device manages measurement data by making them files and storing the files in a storage medium, and comprises a number of files detection means detecting the number of files existing in a specified folder in the storage medium; a folder creation means creating another folder differing from the specified folder when the number of files detected by the detection means exceeds a prescribed number; and a file moving means moving files of which the number exceeds the prescribed number to the folder created by the creation means.
