PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-retentive cement composition for filling in a continuous gap of a hardened porous body constituting a hardened body for pavement, which is capable of enhancing the effect of inhibiting a rise in a road surface temperature of the hardened body for pavement due to direct sunlight in the summer season and also capable of lengthening a duration of the effect. SOLUTION: The water-retentive cement composition contains cement, sepiolite and water, which has an amount of blended water greater than 180 parts in mass compared with 100 parts in mass as a total of the cement and the sepiolite. A proportion of water in the water-retentive cement composition is desired to be greater than 55 mass percentage. The water-retentive cement composition can be used as a filler for a continuous gap of paving blocks 3, and also as a material for joints 4. A paving structure 1 comprises paving blocks 3, joints 4, a sand layer 5, a subbase course 6 made of crusher-run, and existing subgrade 7 as ground. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
