PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detergent composition that exhibits excellent deterging power and is endowed with antiseptic properties. SOLUTION: The liquid detergent composition comprises (A) 5-30 mass% of a non-soap anionic surfactant, (B) 1-10 mass% of a specific semipolar surfactant, (C) 0.1-10 mass% of at least one of 8-24C linear and/or branched higher alcohols and fatty acids, (D) at most 5 mass% of a hydrotropic agent and (E) 0.0001-0.1 mass% of an antimicrobial component and has a viscosity of 500-5,000 mPa s at 60 rpm by a Brookfield viscometer and a viscosity ratio of 6 rpm/60 rpm of at least 5 at 25°C.
