PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in the present time in which an advanced age people population constituting ratio of Japan intently expands, the independence in the eating habits of advanced age people becomes a pressing need, and especially, the support for the improvement of the ingestion ratio of fresh vegetables for advanced age stratum is required, and therefore, the market supply of a grater the operation of which by an advanced age person himself can be easily performed to grate root vegetables and flesh fruits of a good ingestion ratio, and also, the safety of which in the hygienic field or in the operation can be guaranteed is needed. SOLUTION: The advanced age person himself can insert objective root vegetables and flesh fruits in the device by a simple operation. The rotational operation of a handle is performed under a condition that the food is sealed in a device having a mechanism structure by which the hygienical keeping of the food is easy, and thus, the grated article of the food is made.
