摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an absolute angle, even when one resolver sensor has broken down, using a normal resolver sensor. SOLUTION: The rotation angle detector comprises a first resolver sensor for outputting the periodic waveform signals n times and a second resolver sensor for outputting m (m≠n) times the periodic waveform signals when a rotating member is rotated over a rotatable range. On the basis of the relative angle differenceθab between relative anglesθa andθb detected by the both resolver sensors, the absolute angleθof the rotating member is calculated. From among a plurality of divided regions obtained by dividing the rotatable range of the rotating member by a division number according to the signal output period of each resolver sensor, an affiliation divided region to which a rotational position of the rotating member belongs is derived, on the basis of the progress of the signal output of each resolver sensor. When one resolver sensor is broken down, the absolute angle of the rotating member is calculated from the output value and affiliation divided region of the normal resolver sensor.
