A total laundry treating system includes a steam generator in which a controller is provided; a laundry treating apparatus that treats laundry, the laundry treating apparatus in which a controller is provided; a data transmitting part for transmitting data between the controllers; and a steam supply line through which steam generated in the steam generator is supplied to the laundry treating apparatus.
