The steam turbine (100) has a helical gear (111) arranged in a funnel shaped helical gear section (110) and firmly connected with a turbine shaft (130) in rotation. A cylindrical rotation body (120) is subsequently arranged at the helical gear section in a damping flow direction and is firmly connected with the turbine shaft in rotation. A set of nozzles is provided in a cylindrical wall of the rotation body, operates as a back pressure nozzle drive and produces torque that shifts the turbine shaft fixedly connected with the cylindrical rotation body, in rotation.
