摘要 <p>[PROBLEMS] To provide a process for producing nanoparticles having a particle diameter of 200 nm or smaller, which has an excellent recovery efficiency and in which a good-quality colloidal solution of inorganic nanoparticles and multinary-alloy or multinary-compound nanoparticles having any desired composition can be easily produced. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A raw-material liquid is irradiated with a high-energy light having a wavelength shorter than 400 nm to produce nanoparticles having a particle diameter of 200 nm or smaller. When the nanoparticles to be produced are platinum nanoparticles, the raw-material liquid is one obtained by dissolving hexachloroplatinum(IV) acid hexahydrate (H&lt;SUB&gt;2&lt;/SUB&gt;Pt(IV)Cl&lt;SUB&gt;6&lt;/SUB&gt;·6H&lt;SUB&gt;2&lt;/SUB&gt;O) in ethanol (C&lt;SUB&gt;2&lt;/SUB&gt;H&lt;SUB&gt;5&lt;/SUB&gt;OH).</p>
