The present invention provides a radio network system in which a mobile station (e.g. UE 1-0) leads in determining whether handover, from an origin radio base station (e.g. Node B 2-0) to a destination radio base station (e.g. Node B 2-1), can be executed or not. The destination radio base station 2-1 reserves resources required for the handover, based on a handover request from the mobile station 1-0 and information on the mobile station 1-0 required for the handover, and establishes a user plane path for transferring user information between itself and the origin radio base station 2-0. The invention thereby seeks to eliminate the radio network controller (RNC) from handover processing to reduce complexity and data loss. |
