<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing naphthalenedicarboxylic acid. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the naphthalenedicarboxylic acid includes a step for dissolving 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene in an acetic acid solvent, a step for oxidizing the product of the dissolution step by using oxygen and a diluting gas, a step for crystallizing the naphthalenedicarboxylic acid formed by the oxidation, and a step for separating the crystallized naphthalenedicarboxylic acid. The amount of the diluting gas discharged in the oxidation step and recycled to the oxidation step is regulated, and the amount of a mother liquid recycled to the dissolution step after the crystallization at the separating step is also regulated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
