<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress breakage of an apparatus in an abnormality by highly accurately detecting a current made to flow in a heater, shortening a temperature rise time period of a fixing means, and highly accurately performing overcurrent detection. <P>SOLUTION: A voltage conversion means converts the current flowing for electric heating into an AC voltage. An integration means integrates the AC voltage being output of the voltage conversion means. In addition, a reference pulse signal generation means generates a reference pulse signal of prescribed level input to the integration means. An input signal switching means switches signals input to the integration means with the integration means or the reference pulse signal generation means. Furthermore, a comparison means compares a first output level of the integration means when inputting an output signal of the integration means with a second output level of the integration means when inputting the output of the reference pulse signal generation means. A current made to flow in an electric heating means is highly accurately calculated from a ratio of the first output level and the second output level calculated by the comparison means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
