PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel conjugate composed of a galectin molecule and a glycosamine molecule, a tool for purifying and measuring galectin molecules or glycosaminoglycan molecules, and an activity regulator and a regulation method for the galectin molecules. SOLUTION: A novel affinity between a specific galectin molecule and a glycosaminoglycan molecule of a particular combination has been found by conducting an exhaustive analysis of the interaction between columns onto which various galectin molecules are fixed and various fluorolabeled glycosaminoglycan molecules using the frontal affinity chromatography.
