PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce estimated errors included in a tap coefficient while coping with even a fluctuation in a radio transmission path. SOLUTION: A state transition estimating part 46 executes equalization processing while using a plurality of taps arranged so as to make a delay time different from a replica generating part 40. A transmission path characteristic estimating part 48 estimates each of coefficients for the plurality of taps on the basis of a training signal over the period of the training signal. The transmission path characteristic estimating part 48 also updates each of the coefficients for the plurality of taps on the basis of a signal obtained by executing the equalization processing over the period of a data signal. The transmission path characteristic estimating part 48 compares each of a plurality of tap coefficients estimated over the period of the training signal with a threshold and sets the value of a coefficient corresponding to a delay time longer than a coefficient with a maximum delay time among coefficients with a value larger than a threshold to zero.
