PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input/output apparatus with an excellent operability that a scanner housing can be opened even if a document cover is opened, and that the scanner housing is prevented from being opened by a force of opening the document cover. SOLUTION: An image input/output apparatus has a stop structure of latching a scanner housing to a close posture covering an upper portion of a printer housing. The stop structure has a predetermined holding power of latching the scanner housing's movement to an open posture by an external force of moving a document cover to an open posture, and does not latch the scanner housing movement to the open posture when the external force of moving the scanner housing to the open posture exceeds the holding force.
