PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiographic image detector and a radiographic image photographing system which, when photographing using a radiographic image detector requiring battery charging or replacing, allows the radiographic image detector to be in an optimum operating condition after battery charging or replacing. SOLUTION: The radiographic image detector 5 for obtaining radiographic image information by detecting irradiated radiation comprises a rechargeable battery 21 which is rechargeable or replaceable and supplies electric power to various parts, a control section 27 for controlling the electric power supply from the rechargeable battery 21, and a condition storage section 35 for storing the operating condition of the rechargeable battery 21 immediately before charging or replacing the rechargeable battery 21. The control section 27 controls the electric power supply from the rechargeable battery 21 so that the operating condition stored in the condition storage section 35 is achieved when the charging or replacing of the battery is completed.
