PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-layered core-sheath conjugate polyester monofilament for screen gauze, which has excellent dimensional stability, halation-preventing effects and printing durability. SOLUTION: The three-layered core-sheath conjugate polyester monofilament for the screen gauze consists of an outmost layer A of a polyethylene terephthalate having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.45-0.60, a second layer B of a polyester containing 10-25 wt.% inorganic particle pigment and/or 0.5-10 wt.% organic pigment, and an innermost layer C of a polyethylene terephthalate having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.75-1.20 regulated so that the ratio (A:B:C) of the fiber cross section area to each layer may be (10-30):(10-30):(60-80). In the monofilament, the reflection coefficient of the light having 200-400 nm wave length is≤10%, the breaking strength is≥5.4 cN/dtex, and 10% modulus is 3.5-5.0 cN/dtex.
