SYSTEM FOR TRANSFERRING A FLUID TO A SHIP

This system (16) comprises a filling platform (40) connected to a ship, and at least one manifold (42) which opens onto the platform (40). It comprises a detachable tubular connector (44) connecting the manifold (42) to a fluid delivery hose carried by a delivery installation. The system (16) comprises at least one carriage (82) for conveying the connector (44) over the platform (40). The carriage (82) is moveable across the platform (40) to convey the tubular connector (44) over the platform (40) between a storage position and an active position, in which latter position it is fixed to the manifold (42). Applicable to the transfer of liquefied natural gas from offshore storage installations to tanker ships.
