The turbocharger (1) has a housing (2) with an air passage section (7), an exhaust gas guiding section and a bearing section, and a rotor assembly (3) with an impeller wheel (4) for sucking and compressing air. A shaft (5) provides torque proof connection of the impeller wheel that is rotatably arranged in the air passage section and a turbine wheel that is rotatably positioned in the exhaust gas guiding section. A flowable contour ring (14) for flow guidance is arranged in the section (7), and is positioned between a discharging channel (10) and a spiral channel (11) of the section (7).
