An LCD is provided to prevent bright lines from being generated on an LCD panel by forming prism patterns having different starting points on a rear face of a light guiding plate. An LCD comprises an LCD panel, a light source for supplying light to the LCD panel, and a light guiding plate(110). The light guiding plate includes an incident face(101) for receiving the light, an output face for outputting the light to the LCD panel, and a semi-incident face(104) facing the incident face. Prism patterns(107) having different lengths are formed on a rear face of the light guiding plate. The prism patterns having different starting points at a region corresponding to the incident face of the light guiding plate. |
