A driver seat air bag used for a horn switch is provided to simplify the structure of the air bag, and to reduce the number of the parts by fixing a mounting plate to a steering wheel and then hook-engaging the air bag cover with the mounting plate. A driver seat air bag used for a horn switch comprises a mounting plate(10), an air bag cover, a cushion(2), an inflator(4), and a floating type horn switch(30). The mounting plate is fixed to a steering wheel(1). The air bag cover is engaged with a hook to be floated on the mounting plate. The cushion and the inflator are placed between the air bag cover and the mounting plate. The floating type horn switch is joined between the air bag cover and the steering wheel and corresponded to the floating of the air bag cover. The mounting plate is installed with mounting hooks(15) whose rear ends are bent toward the outside of the mounting plate. The air bag cover is mounted with mounting hook slots(23) moved to the floated direction of the air bag cover.
