<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus preventing the damage of a unit which is attached to/detached from the image forming apparatus while its main body is not in contact with the bottom surface part of an image forming apparatus main body, when attaching/detaching the unit. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 100 that is the image forming apparatus is equipped with a stand part 81 that is a unit leg member integrated with the main body of an intermediate transfer unit 8 that is an upper unit.
