<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device to restrict viewing without imparing the story plot of a program. <P>SOLUTION: An information reproducing device reproduces information recorded on an optical disc while reading them out. The device is provided with a reproduction restriction level setting means which sets an information-reproduction restriction level in the information reproducing device, a comparison means 18 which compares reproduction restriction level information stored in a level information recording means and level information read out from a recording medium, and a control means that controls reproduction of information recorded on the recording medium on the basis of the comparison results obtained by the comparison means. Accordingly, a color component is controlled according to a parental level setting without completely restricting viewing. Consequently, it is possible to reduce adverse effects on a viewer caused by a reproduced video image without preventing the viewer from obtaining the story plot. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
