<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device which can switch an irradiation angle range, the device being capable of restraining a variation in color when an irradiation angle is switched; to provide a display device which is provided with the light source device and can change a visual field angle range, a terminal device which is provided with the display device, and a transparency/scattering switching element which is incorporated into the light source device. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device 1 is provided with the transparency/scattering switching element 122 for switching an irradiation angle range.
