<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot-water supply system and an automatic diagnostic method for the same, capable of diagnosing the whole system by a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: The hot-water supply system comprises a plurality of pipes constitute form hot-water channels, a plurality of functional units for heating hot water or performing prescribed motions to output hot water at prescribed temperature from a bathtub or a hot-water faucet, and a control part 35 for controlling the plurality of functional units. The control part 35 comprises, as means for operating the hot-water supply system, at least a test operation means 352 for diagnosing the plurality of pipes, a functional unit successive diagnosing means 353 for diagnosing the operation of a series of functional units related to a prescribed process among the plurality of functional units, and a single functional unit diagnosing means 354 for operating and diagnosing any one of the plurality of functional units alone.
