摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that automatic switching of channel selection/receiving destination settings depending on a received quality state gives a sense of displeasure/incongruity to a viewer user because the viewer user has no understanding of the switching and disturbance on reproduced image and sound is caused. SOLUTION: A broadcast receiver disclosed herein evaluates a receiving state of a selected broadcast program in a timing when a remote controller (power ON and channel selection buttons) is depressed, and selects a broadcast station with high quality of the receiving state or a transmission state to execute the channel selection/receiving destination settings thereby providing broadcast viewing in a high quality state at all times without giving the sense of displeasure/incongruity to the viewer user.
