PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide long fiber-reinforced biodegradable polyester resin pellets which are easily disposed of, have little influence to earth environment, and are excellent in mechanical strength, and to provide a molded article using the pellets. SOLUTION: The long basalt fiber-reinforced biodegradable polyester resin pellets are produced by impregnating basalt fiber rovings with at least a molten biodegradable polyester resin while the rovings are drawn, wherein the basalt fibers are arranged in parallel in the longitudinal direction of the pellets and have a length of 4-50 mm.
