PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generator which can sufficiently maintain a light weight property even if the generator is increased in size, and can generate power by using a sufficiently high output voltage without using a speed accelerator. SOLUTION: This generator is characterized by comprising: a ring-shaped stator 3 having a coreless-type armature winding 12; a ring-shaped rotor 2 which is arranged so as to be concentric with respect to the ring-shaped stator 3, and has permanent magnets 11; and a rotor blade 4 which is arranged in a hollow space M inside the ring-shaped rotor 2, and fixed to the ring-shaped rotor 2.
