PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker reducing the possibility of causing an electric shock accident by mistake by holding the trip state, securing a storage space of an inner attachment device by providing a function to prevent opening/closing of an ACC cover in the ON state, and having a high degree of design freedom. SOLUTION: The circuit breaker is provided with a contact part having a movable contactor 13 and a fixed contactor 12, an arc suppressing chamber 15 for storing the contact part, an opening/closing mechanism part 16 for opening/closing the movable contactor 13, and an excess current tripping part 17 for detecting excess current of a main circuit and opening the movable contactor 13. An accessory cover 20 mounted with a cam member 22 is provided in a rotating shaft, and the opening/closing mechanism part 16 has a communication plate having a latch formed thereon. When the accessory cover 20 is opened by rotation, the cam member 22 is rotated and abuts on the communication plate so as to transfer to the state to remove the latch, and the movable contactor 13 is opened so as to forcedly transfer to the trip state.
