PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package type compressor which realizes a minimum installation area and a small temperature rise inside a package. SOLUTION: A package type compressor contains in a casing 2 a compressor body 7, an electric motor 6 for driving the compressor body 7, an electrical component box 20 for housing electrical components, a heat exchanger 13 and a cooling fan, wherein a space in the casing 2 is partitioned substantially into an upper chamber 4 and a lower chamber 5. A cooling air intake port 19 is arranged in the lower chamber 5. A cooling air discharge port 14 is arranged in the top surface of the upper chamber 4. The compressor body 7, electric motor 6 and electrical component box 20 are disposed in the lower chamber 5.
