PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make expenses associated with setting of an earthquake-resisting wall difficult to increase with high setting flexibility of the earthquake-resisting wall even in such a case that earthquake resistance of an existing building is enhanced by setting a new earthquake-resisting wall within the building. SOLUTION: In the earthquake-resisting wall setting structure in which an earthquake-resisting wall A is set extending over an upper floor slab 5 and a lower floor slab 6 supported by a plurality of beam members 1 and 2 and column members 3 and 4 supporting end portions of the beam members, the upper part of the earthquake-resisting wall is disposed extending over the different beam members which support the upper floor slab, and the lower part of the earthquake-resisting wall is disposed extending over the different beam members or column members which support the lower floor slab.
