PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheathing usable for a building construction and capable of enhancing constructability and the waterproofness of joints in particular. SOLUTION: The long sheathing is formed as a hooked structure having a female connection formed at its upper end and a male connection formed at its lower end. The insertion edge of the male connection are cut at its right and left ends at regular intervals to form cutouts. A decorative surface is bent inwards by approximately 180 degrees at its right and left ends to form a tongue piece. The upper end of the decorative surface is formed with a step. The long sheathing A is formed as a hooked structure having a female connection 13 formed at its upper end and a male connection 9 formed at its lower end. The insertion edge 7 of the male connection 9 is cut at its right and left ends at regular intervals to form cutouts 15. The decorative surface 4 is bent inwards by approximately 180 degrees at its right and left ends to form a tongue piece 14. The upper end of the decorative surface 4 is formed with a step 13a.
