PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nozzle plate which maintain the stable meniscus on an opening part of a discharge side of a nozzle and which has a structure of excellent adhesive strength and adhesion of a metal plate body, resin sheet and water repellent film and which can be manufactured by a simple process, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The nozzle plate for an ink jet head is obtained by laminating a sheet having the water repellent film in a surface of a base layer comprising a hydrophilic polymer material in a discharge side of a hydrophilic metal plate body 1 having a through-hole, which previously become a nozzle, using the water repellent film 3 as an outside face, and forming the nozzle by opening the part corresponding to the through-hole of the metal plate body of the sheet having the water repellent film.
