PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loop type heat pipe capable of improving the performance only by adopting a simple means. SOLUTION: A cooling water introducing pipe 21 i disposed on a refrigerant downstream tank 25 side of a water tank 13, and a cooling water discharging pipe 22 is disposed on a refrigerant upstream tank 24 side of the water tank 13 to let cooling water flow from the liquidization/condensation side to the uncondensed side of the refrigerant. Accordingly, the liquid refrigerant liquidized by a condenser 15 is cooled by the cooling water which is unheated or whose temperature at the initial stage of heating is low, and the liquid refrigerant to be returned to an evaporator 14 can be supercooled. As a result, the temperature difference between the liquid refrigerant to be returned to the evaporator 14 and the evaporated refrigerant in the evaporator 14 can be enlarged and the heat recovery efficiency (the pump efficiency) can be increased. Furthermore, as the flow direction of the refrigerant and the flow direction of the cooling water in the condenser 15 are opposite from each other, the temperature of the cooling water flowing out of the water tank 13 can be increased.
